In the foundation of our university at the date of 1997, there were Institute of Social Sciences, the Institute of Science and the Institute of Fine Arts. In the passing years all the postgraduate programs are integrated under the name of the Postgraduate Education-Training and Research. Our institute, which shows a rapid increase in the number of students and program numbers in the day by day, has currently been awarded to international students from different parts of the world in the scope of two professional doctoral programs, 45 graduate programs and 16 doctorates.
MISSION AND VISION
Nowadays, besides university graduation, it is way that individual can make a difference in himself by making graduate and doctoral degrees. Therefore, nowadays, graduate and doctoral degrees have gained importance and will become increasingly important. Graduate and Ph.D. are the first step in academic research and academic career in academic sense. For the reasons mentioned above, graduate education in universities is a very important field. That's what we do for our university. For this reason, our university has given great importance to the diversity and quality of its undergraduate education as well as its diversity and quality. Graduate education at our university is given at the Institute for Graduate Education and Research. Post-graduate education, which is conducted in many different universities under different institutes, is organized under one roof in our university. The main purpose of this pathway is to improve quality by standardizing the practices in different fields of science to common interests. The CIU Postgraduate Education and Research Institute aims to be a pioneer in postgraduate education. For this reason, it is one of our most important goals to increase scientific research, publications and projects within the framework of the Institute's programs. Our institute has embraced itself as a vision to prepare our graduate students fully equipped for academic and business life.
The Graduate Institute for Education, Training and Research has a diverse culture and knowledge level because it has graduate students from 106 different countries. In addition to student diversity, the diversity of international teaching staff can also reveal the difference. As education and research can be carried out in an international environment, the development of different technologies, cultures, knowledge, communication skills and human accessibility can be facilitated. At the same time, high quality, professional and practical training can be provided with investments of laboratories, buildings, smart boards and libraries which Cyprus University has made. As a result of the publication of the articles in the journals such as SSCI, SCI-Expanded and AHCI lists required for the graduation of the Ph.D. students, the quality of the research-oriented studies is also increasing considerably.
