Faculty of Pharmacy hosts the White Coat Ceremony

Taking their first steps in the journey to become Pharmacists, a total of 220 freshman year Faculty of Pharmacy students wore their white coats at a ceremony arranged to honor them.

CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri, Vice Rectors, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aslan, academicians, students and families were present at the ceremony held in the conference hall of CIU Çevik Uraz Center. Rector Prof. Dr. Nadiri and the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Aslan delivered their opening speeches at the ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Nadiri stated in his speech that, as CIU Faculty of Pharmacy, they are extremely happy to pioneer the research culture.

Nadiri noted that the Faculty of Pharmacy was accredited in 2022 by the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), an international accreditation organization headquartered in Germany. He noted that by improving quality in education, they aim to make great contributions to the pharmaceutical industry in raising qualified, cultured, well-equipped, innovative researchers.

Dean of CIU Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aslan stated that, as the Faculty of Pharmacy, they have fostered pioneering international collaborations and said, "Following the dual diploma agreement with the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy, we offer our students the opportunity to receive the first three years of their education at CIU and their last two years at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy." 

In addition, Aslan reminded that CIU Faculty of Pharmacy is also a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), the global body representing over 4 million pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists.

Following the speeches delivered at the White Coat Wearing Ceremony held at the Çevik Uraz Center, the faculty members dressed the students in their white coats. The ceremony ended with a group photo shoot.
