An informative workshop was held by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Cyprus International University (CIU).
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kuşaf, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering stated that the educational activities and objectives of the department were discussed: “In this regard, we held a productive meeting where the interaction of our students and academics was high.”
The students were also updated about the accreditation activities, the projects planned to improve the quality of education, the activities, the seminars and the technical trips organized by the club.
At the event held at Çevik Uraz Center Conference Hall attention was drawn to the necessity of lifelong learning and Prof. Dr. Kuşaf emphasized that engineers should constantly improve themselves after graduation and they should follow the most recent technologies.
Vice Rector and faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Toycan underlined the importance given by Cyprus International University to the accreditations and encouraged the students to produce new projects and participate in the competitions organized in this field.
Mumen Wehbe, President of the Club of Electrical and Electronics Engineering gave information about the club and talked about the activities planned for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The club will organize a robotics competition within the scope of the Robotics Technique course in the fall semester of 2019-2020 Academic Year and technical trips will be organized to Scada Systems, Ercan Airport, AKSA and Teknecik Power Plants and CIU solar system panels.
