UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

  • Completed application form,
  • Higher/Secondary Certificate or equivalents (e.g. O/A’Level, WAEC/NECO),
  • Evidence of English Language competence: TOEFL (65 IBT) or IELTS (5.5). Students without these documents will take the CIU English proficiency exam on campus following arrival,
  • Scanned copy of international passport/birth certificate,
  • Fully completed and signed CIU Rules and Regulations document (which can be downloaded during the online application).

MASTER’S PROGRAMS

  • Bachelor’s Degree Diploma,
  • Bachelor’s Degree transcripts for each completed academic term/year,
  • Evidence of English Language competence: TOEFL (65 IBT) or IELTS (5.5). Students without these documents will take the CIU English proficiency exam on campus following arrival,
  • Scanned copy of international passport/birth certificate,
  • CV,
  • Fully completed and signed CIU Rules and Regulations document (which can be downloaded during the online application).

PHD PROGRAMS

  • A valid Bachelor’s Degree and transcripts for each completed academic term/year,
  • A valid Master’s Degree and transcripts for each completed academic term/year,
  • Evidence of English Language competence: TOEFL (65 IBT) or IELTS (5.5). Students without these documents will take the CIU's English proficiency exam on campus following arrival,
  • Scanned copy of international passport/birth certificate,
  • CV,
  • PhD research proposal,
  • Fully completed and signed CIU Rules and Regulations document (which can be downloaded during the online application).

ADMISSION PROCESS

1 Evaluation of the application by CIU International Office

A prospective student applies to Cyprus International University by creating a profile using their e-mail address, filling in the online application form, and uploading the documents requested above through the application system or via local representative offices.

2 Issuing Acceptance Letter

If eligible, prospective students receive an Acceptance Letter (AL) via e-mail.

3 Initial minimum payment

The initial deposit payment, as stated on the AL, must be transferred to the CIU bank account through your local bank.

4 Acceptance Letter (AL)

After the deposit payment is made, prospective students will receive their Acceptance Letter (AL) via e-mail.

5 Apply for transit visa (if necessary)

With the AL, prospective students will be able to apply for their transit visa at the nearest Turkish Embassy (if necessary).

6 Share your flight details with us in order to arrange transportation from Ercan Airport

Prospective students book their flights to Ercan Airport, North Cyprus and inform the International Office of their flight details in order to organize their transportation to the CIU campus.

Please fill in your details correctly and upload all the required documents listed on the last page of the application form.
If you are working with an educational agency, or one of regional representatives, please contact them and ask for their ‘Agent Code’, which you will need to fill in on the last page of the application form.

If you are applying yourself, you do not need to select an ‘Agent Code’. Please do not send your applications via e-mail or post.

International Office will contact you or your agent shortly after you complete your application.
