CIU to host two International Conferences

Cyprus International University in collaboration with Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa and Sakarya University will be organizing joint conferences on “International Trends and Issues in Communication & Media” (ITICAM) and “Quality Control in Higher Education” (IQC). 
 
The conferences will be organized by CIU Faculty of Communication on July 13th -14th , 2023 where new trends and studies in media as well as the developments in quality control mechanisms in higher education will be discussed. 

Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Aytekin İşman stated that new trends and studies in communication and media will be discussed within the scope of ITICAM while ICQ related discussions will be based on scientific studies carried out in higher education and education. 

İşman stated that the conference organizing committee is comprised of CIU’s academic staff, and added the Honorary President of the Conference is CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri. 

The conference sessions will be carried out concurrently and the invited speakers are Prof. Dr. Aydın Ziya Özgür, from Anadolu University; Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas, from Sakarya University; and Prof. Dr. Teresa Franklin  and Prof. Dr. Douglas Franklin from Ohio University. 

İşman pointed out that the conference sessions will be bilingual (Turkish and English) and that applications to the conference have already started. 
 
Application deadline is July 10th and applications can be submitted at https://iticam.net/  and https://icqh.net/. He also added that full texts submitted by July 30th will be judged by the referees for potential publication. 

Papers on communication and media will be published in “The Online Journal of Communication and Media” (TOJCAM), and those on higher education will be published in “The Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology” (TOJET) if found appropriate by the referees.
