Transportation Unit
Cyprus International University transportation unit has a vehicle fleet which consists of 36 vehicles to provide transportation services for the staff and students. Daily transportation services between the campus and the city centre are provided to personnel and students, .Also provided is transportation for academic studies out of campus, sport events, excursions and activities that are arranged by the faculties.

Every Saturday buses will leave CIU at 19:00, and turn back from Girne at 01:00

Traffic In TRNC
The traffic flows on the left in North Cyprus. The traffic signs are international. The roads are safe and in good condition. A valid insurance is necessity for cars which enter Northern Cyprus. Saloon cars cannot exceed 100 km/h if there is no contrary sign. Front seat passengers have to fasten their seat belts.
Air and Sea Transportation Firms
The transportation to TRNC by air
Five different firms provide air transportation between Turkey and the TRNC. There are daily flights to Ankara and Istanbul, and for Adana, Hatay, Antalya and Izmir they are scheduled.

Transportation to TRNC by sea
Ferries and sea busses sail daily to Mersin-Tasucu and Kyrenia-Famagusta ports. Also, during the summer period, Alanya-Kyrenia sailings are arranged. The Alanya-Kyrenia sailing time is about 3 hours, and the Tasucu-Kyrenia sailing time is 2 hours. Timetables can be obtained from the maritime companies listed below:
