Cyprus International University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Design lecturer M.S. Abbasolu attended a conference which dealt with the issues of inhabitable environment and architecture. The conference was held between the dates 5-7 July at the Trabzon KT Osman Turan Congress and Culture Center.

M.S. Abbasolu gave a poster presentation on "THE EVALUATION OF MODERN-POSTMODERN-DECONSTRUCTIVISM MOVEMENTS ON ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNS" and gave another presentation on "TYPOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE DOORS IN THE BRITISH PERIOD (1878-1960); THE CASE OF KYRENIA, CYPRUS", which she had written together with Dr. Nazife ZAY, lecturer at EMU, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture. At the conference new problems such as globalization of the world and the reducing inhabitable environment because of increasing new structures were discussed. A paper on typological examples of British era door types which have the marks of various cultures from our historical past was presented. These door types, with the help of typological examples, appear to be from different periods of time in which various cultures were accommodated in our country. In the designed poster famous architects from different cultures in our world have designed famous structures in three different architectural movements; modern, post modern and deconstructivist. All these structures were evaluated in order to show their differences and similarities.

At the conference the academicians from Turkey and other countries that faced similar problems about inhabitable environment in their own countries, helped to come up with new views by discussing common strategies.
