About CIU
Cyprus International University was established in 1997 following a meticulous five year preparation programme. It was established as a result of rising interest in higher educational institutions, teaching in English, and after the increased need for universities which conduct education in foreign languages in Turkey, The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and other countries in our region. CIU successfully obtained the necessary equality certifications for all of its faculties and departments, and was immediately included in the official catalogue of The Turkish Centre of Student Selection and Placement (ÖSYM) by The Turkish Higher Education Board (YÖK).
Cyprus International University is a qualified, serious, and dependable centre of education, which has been provided with all the technological capabilities that the 21st century demands. CIU develops its physical infrastructure, and its means of research and teaching, in order to provide excellent education to its students.

The main educational aim at Cyprus International University is to have Alumni who are fluent in English language, who are able to reach knowledge and harness it for the best purposes, who are capable of using the latest information and communication technologies, and who have absorbed the necessary professional approaches to help them with their future careers.
Our students graduate from their respective department with the necessary knowledge to give them the opportunities to establish their own business initiatives and find jobs any where in the world in today's atmosphere of increased global competition.
