Environmental Research Centre
The center does activities that will help the development of the country with the help of using science and technology by cooperating with the domestic and foreign institutions and industry that do basic and applied research related to environmental activities in undergraduate and postgraduate level units of the university.
The mission of CIU Environmental Research Centre is to find out the solutions for the life-treating environmental problems in Cyprus and everywhere with the sustainable philosophy and interdisciplinary approaches. It provides the implementation of these things in local, national and international scale and organizes activities to develop the society awareness.
The centre organizes various activities to encourage and coordinate the main and applied researches in environmental sciences, associate with similar home and international institutions, organize symposium, congress, conference, seminar, summer school and courses, publish scientific researches and develop the environment consciousness in the society.
Environmental Research Centre does studies in order to use their results for the benefits of country and humanity and transfer to the technology; with this aim it provides associations with other institute and organizations and also consultancy services on environmental issues.
