Center of Biotechnology Research
Parallel to the new departments of Energy Systems and Environmental Engineering, Cyprus International University established the Center of Biotechnology Research to contribute the country’s economy by conducting researches in the fields of “industry”, “environment”, “agriculture” and “animal husbandry”. In addition, CIU is planning to start researches in the field of medicine as soon as the Genetic Engineering Department is opened.
The studies that have direct effect on social and economic lives are completed with the coordination of well-known institutes and experts around the world by getting permission from the officials.
Especially with the applications of the environment and agriculture projects, remarkable developments are observed in the quality of production. With the aim of being the most advanced center in the Mediterranean region, the applications of the projects will be in use in the neighbor countries soon.
