Faculty of Arts and Sciences
As in all universities, our faculty which is the main academic unit also in Cyprus International University, has been carrying out graduate program since 2003 – 2004 and post graduate program since 2007-2008. In our faculty where literature, that is a human based scientific field, and science, that is based on concrete consept and data, are combined, we have determined our corporate vision in two dimensions: Humanism and scientism.
In this faculty which is established in all universities, staff, programs, facilities, goals and aims have been made elite and level in order to make it reach modern construction and interoperability in terms of education. We have determined that our students who come from our main student source, Turkey, have a feeling of being in parents’ house rather than being homesick.
Our second main goal is to lead our Alumni to reach a higher level in terms of scientific sufficiency compared to their equivalents. The main mission of our faculty is to reach further than the goals that we have determined to reach.
Education is given in Turkish at the department of Turkish Language and Literature and in English at the department of English Language and Literature.
In this way, opportunities to work globally have been created for our Alumni. Necessary programs have been formed for post graduate and doctorate after our students graduation who are educated with modern methods and equipment in graduate programs. In all departments our students are provided with support in various fields like science, culture and art by having elective courses. Art and Science Faculty is proud of its Alumni who are able to look to the future with confidence and who have scientific thought and behaviour.
