Application Procedure

A prospective student applies to Cyprus International University by creating a profile using their e-mail address, filling in the online application form, and uploading the below requested documents through https://kbs.ciu.edu.tr/stdportal/login.php or via our local representative offices.
If eligible, prospective students receive a Conditional Acceptance Letter (CAL) via e-mail.
The initial deposit payment of € 1000, as stated on the CAL, must be transferred to the CIU account through your local bank.
After the deposit payment is made, prospective students receive their Unconditional Acceptance Letter (UAL) via e-mail.
With the UAL, prospective students apply for their transit visa at the nearest Turkish Embassy (if necessary).
Prospective students book their flights to North Cyprus, Ercan Airport and inform the International Marketing Office of their flight details in order to organize their transportation to the CIU campus.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate Programs

  • Completed application form
  • Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalents (e.g. O/A’Level, WAEC/NECO)
  • Evidence of English Language competence: TOEFL (65 IBT) or IELTS (5.5). Students without these documents will take CIU’s English proficiency exam on the CIU campus following arrival.
  • Scanned copy of international passport/birth certificate
  • Fully completed and signed CIU Rules and Regulations document (which can be downloaded during the online application)

Master’s Programs

  • Completed application form
  • Bachelor’s Degree Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree transcripts for each completed academic term/year.
  • Evidence of English Language competence: TOEFL (65 IBT) or IELTS (5.5). Students without these documents will take CIU’s English proficiency exam on the CIU campus following arrival.
  • Scanned copy of international passport/birth certificate
  • CV
  • Fully completed and signed CIU Rules and Regulations document (which can be downloaded during the online application)

PhD programs

  • Completed application form
  • A valid Bachelor’s Degree and transcripts for each completed academic term/year.
  • A valid Master’s Degree and transcripts for each completed academic term/year.
  • Evidence of English Language competence: TOEFL (65 IBT) or IELTS (5.5). Students without these documents will take CIUs English proficiency exam on the CIU campus following arrival.Scanned copy of international passport/birth certificate
  • Scanned copy of international passport/birth certificate
  • CV
  • PhD research proposal
  • Fully completed and signed CIU Rules and Regulations document (which can be downloaded during the online application)
