Vocational School of Health Sciences of CIU is ready for the 2018-2019 Academic Year with New Associate Degree Programmes
Vocational School of Health Sciences of Cyprus International University (CIU) develops theoretical knowledge as well as technical skills of the students, who want to pursue a career in this area, with its laboratories and specialist faculty members in the field.
Vocational School of Health Sciences of CIU is ready for the 2018-2019 academic year with Medical Education Documentation Secretariat, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy Services, Medical Imaging Techniques, Anaesthesia, Dialysis, Occupational Health and Safety, First Aid and Emergency, Operating Room Services and Audiometry Associate Degree Programmes.
Prof. Dr. Feray Gökdoğan, the Director of the Health Sciences Vocational School announced that students will be accepted in the 2018-2019 academic year to the Oral and Dental Health, Child Development, Optician and Medical Laboratory Technician Programmes which are in Turkish, which was approved by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) and to the First Aid & Emergency Associate Degree Programme which is in English. Prof. Dr. Feray Gökdoğan added that accreditation work in Health Sciences Vocational School has been started this academic year.
Prof. Dr. Gökdoğan stated that they help students improve their skills with simulators, models and tools at the laboratories located in the School. In addition, they help students improve their skills and knowledge in advanced hospitals and application areas during summer internships.
Gökdoğan pointed out that CIU provides its students the opportunity to be educated and practise abroad due to the academic cooperation agreements made with universities abroad and she also stated that students have the opportunity for practice due to the cooperation with Civil Society Organizations.
Gökdoğan said students are involved in many activities during their education for their personal development at the Health Club and with other Student groups and she also mentioned that students have many opportunities to participate in various scientific, social and cultural activities at national and international level such as workshops, conferences and symposiums.
