Türkmenistan's Impartiality Day was celebrated at CIU

Türkmenistan's 22nd Impartiality Day was celebrated by various events at Cyprus International University (CIU). Mete Boyacı, The President of the Board of Trustees of the CIU, Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Azmun, Vice Rectors, Rector Adviser, academics and students took part in the event. The event started with the talk of Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri.

Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri drew attention to the point that there are students from 106 different countries in the CIU and he noted that this diversity is a great wealth for the university. Nadiri emphasized that the CIU is a growing family, students, who will graduate from the CIU, will be successful and beneficial for the world in a short time. Rector Nadiri stated that too much work has to be done and he recommended that students should use these opportunities to improve their intellectual capacities.

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Azmun, who made a speech about the event, mentioned that he was very happy as a Turkmenian and he wished a happy Turkmen day on this historic day to all the Turkmen students. Prof. Dr. Azmun said he wishes Turkmenistan went forward following the principle of neutrality and he wishes this contributed to the students here.

The event attracted great interest from students from different nations as well as Turkmen students, it was also important in terms of introducing Türkmen cultures. Guest students who had a chance to taste special dishes of Turkmen cuisine, had an enthusiastic night.

In the event, Mete Boyacı, The President of the Board of Trustees of the CIU and Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri presented a plaque to Prof. Dr.Yusuf Azmun.
