Students had an opportunity to get to know Cyprus with Famagusta trip
Famagusta city tour was organized by the CIU LEAD Network Club affiliated to the Social Activities Coordinator of the Student Development and Counselling Centre (SDCC), Cyprus International University (CIU).
Oluwaseyi Anifowose, the President of the CIU LEAD Network Club, pointed out that the trip was organized for Cyprus International University (CIU) students from different cultures to meet and socialize within the scope of the objectives of the club which is to encourage the cultural adaptation.
At the event, where 71 CIU students from various countries came together to get to know each other and students were provided the opportunity to experience and observe the culture and history at its own place at the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Students visited Famagusta's historical sites so they had the opportunity to visit the important historical sites of Famagusta such as Sinan Paşa Mosque, Lala Mustafa Paşa Mosque, Othello Castle, Sea Gate, Venetian Palace, Namık Kemal Dungeon and Walled City and they had the opportunity to get to know the Northern Cyprus closely.
Students, who had a chance to have a picnic in Salamis Ruins in Famagusta after the city tour, had a unique time with various play activities.
