Students of the Faculty of Health Sciences will wear their white coats at a ceremony

Faculty of Health Sciences, Vocational School of Health Sciences, and School of Health Sciences will organize a White Coat Wearing Ceremony on Thursday, 25 April. The White Coat Wearing Ceremony, which aims to lead the students to begin their professional life, will be held at the CIU Amphitheater.
 

Prof. Dr. Feray Gökdoğan, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, said at the ceremony, a total of 527 students, 272 of which are first year undergraduate students, 43 students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, 51 students from the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, 156 students from Nursing (Turkish and English) Department, 22 from the Child Development Department and 255 students from the Health Sciences Vocational School, will wear their white coats to symbolize their first steps into the profession. 

Prof. Dr. Gökdoğan pointed out that Sibel Siber, the former chairperson of the TRNC parliament, will make the opening speech at the CIU White Coat Wearing Ceremony. In addition to academics, the President of the Turkish Cypriot Physiotherapists Association, the President of Cyprus Turkish Nurses and Midwives Association, profession representatives and members were invited.
