The School of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture students were informed about the education process at CIU
The School of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Department, Cyprus International University (CIU) was organized a "Faculty Question and Answer Session" to provide students information and answer their questions.
In the session where the administrative staff of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture were present, The Dean (acting) Prof. Dr. Nezih Ayıran, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinç Kurt, The Vice Dean and The Director of the Interior Architecture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cemil Atakara, The Vice Dean and The Director of the Architecture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Songül Dağ, The Director of the Graphics Department and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Devrim Yücel Besim, The Director of the Industrial Design answered students questions.
Prof. Dr. Nezih Ayıran emphasized that the session was organized to identify students problems and produce solutions for them. Prof. Dr. Ayıran drew attention to the fact that most of the questions were from DGS students and there were too many questions about the exemptions at the session held at Çevik Uraz Conference Hall. Prof. Dr. Ayıran added that students were also asked whether any arrangements would be done so that they graduate from the university at the foreseeable time period. Prof. Dr. Ayıran said they will make every effort to raise the quality as a Faculty.
Prof. Dr. Cemil Atakara, The Vice Dean and The Director of the Architecture reminded that as the Department of Architecture, they do some studies to increase the duration of the study to 5 years. He also said that the Academic Committee accepted these suggestions. He emphasized that no compromise should be given in academic quality.
