Melis Tek and Atakan Mert, CIU Students, became the 1st at "Target 25" Program organized by the Red Crescent

Melis Tek and Atakan Mert, Cyprus International University (CIU) students became the first with the project they submitted to the "Target 25" Program organized by the Red Crescent.

12th safe blood donor programme was held in Antalya to raise awareness about the blood donation and to be a volunteer and safe blood donor among university students of 18-25 years by the Turkish Red Crescent. Melis Tek ve Atakan Mert attended the competition with their projects on "Stem Cell Donation and Blood Donation" and became the first Cypriot university winner group. Melis Tek and Atakan Mert were the first Cypriot university students who participated in the Target 25 Program and won the gold medal.

At the meeting organized to bring university students together through the Target 25 program, participants were motivated to become regular blood donors. In the framework of the project, organized by the Red Crescent, the history of the target 25 Program, blood banking in Turkey and the world, diseases transmitted through blood, procedures and tests to be applied to the blood, the Turkish Red Crescent Youth Services, tips for a project preparation were the points that information was given about.
