Mechatronics Engineering Program, CIU will start accepting students in the New Semester

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Mehmet Kuşaf, The Director of The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering explained that the Mechatronics Engineering Program will start students’ enrolment in Spring Semester, 2017-2018 Academic Year.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kuşaf said the program was approved by YODAK and he stated that the registration of students from the Northern Cyprus and the third world countries will start. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuşaf said that Mechatronics Engineering Program is a new program that is blended from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Programs. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Kuşaf said Mechatronics Engineering Department curriculum has courses that are necessary for students to get a full education on the areas of industrial automation, intelligent machines, robotics, automotive and intelligent materials.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuşaf said in the context of the program, industrial robots, and mechanical devices such as elevators were programed and controlled. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuşaf said it is an area where students who are interested in mechanical, electronic and control systems of the Mechatronics Engineering Program can apply. Students will also be able to develop themselves in the design and manufacture of industrial robots. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuşaf "students who will register for this program will be able to have a profession in the automotive industry, medicine, agriculture, banking and mining." Kuşaf added that students, who have the knowledge of physics, chemistry and mathematics at a certain level of competency after the high school graduation, can register for the program.
