Information Seminar on the European Institute for Pharmacy Students and Tor Vergata Dual Diploma Information Seminar organised for the Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy
Assist. Prof. Dr. Ender Volkan Çınar, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, talked within the scope of the Tor Vergata Dual Diploma program and he said that joint scientific research between the two institutions will be done. Çınar stated that the dual diploma application will take effect from this semester. After the first 3 years of education at CIU, students can complete their 2 years education at the University of Rome, Tor Vergata's campus in Rome.
Lecturer Ehsan Valipoursaid that they will have the opportunity to continue their education internationally and experience a different culture. In his speech, Valipour also gave introductory information about the University of Rome Tor Vergata for the students.
Can Kaya, the Liaison Secretary of the European Union of Pharmacy Students (EPSA), and Işınsu Akçin, the Twinnet Coordinator of the CIU Pharmacy Union of the Students (CIUPSA), made a presentation.
Kaya stated he is the first EPSA member of the CIUPSA, which was established with the cooperation of CIU students in Cyprus and it has more than 160 thousand students from 37 different countries.
Kaya mentioned the objectives of the EPSA and he stated that they include ensuring continuous contact and information exchange, increasing mobility, creating consensus, and organizing eventsand activities that increase the occupational profile of the pharmacy.
Akçin stated that the EPSA is responsible for the exchange program and their aim is to strengthen the communication and cooperation with pharmacy students in Europe. Akçin said that they have started projects on this subject as the Faculty of Pharmacy and they aim to host pharmacy students from all the European countries.
