For the Future of Cyprus the Situation of Tourism to be considered in Long Term Policies was discussed at CIU

Fetih Özboğaç, The Director of the Turkish Cypriot Hotel Association (TCHA) stated that the future of Cyprus is tourism and tourism should be put into a long-term policy and he explained that "A tourism organization should be established and should be acted accordingly."

Fetih Özboğaç, who made a speech at the panel on "Issues and Trends in Tourism and Accommodation" organised by the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, Cyprus International University (CIU) said they evaluate tourism on three bases and these are "First, you should recognize and promote your country. Second, you should bring these customers to the country, and the third you should welcome these guests."

In addition to Fetih Özboğaç, The Director of the Turkish Cypriot Hotel Association (TCHA), Orhan Tolun, The Tourism and Travel Agencies Board Member took a word and said that people who are in this profession should be in love with tourism and people. Tolun added that it is not enough to graduate from a university to be able to work in the tourism sector. He advised students, who will enter the tourism sector, that they should devote themselves to this profession.

In the panel where the changes in tourism and accommodation sector in North Cyprus were discussed, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orhan Uludağ, The Director of the School of Tourism and hotel Management was the moderator. Students were informed about tourism related issues, changing policy systems and planning at the panel.
