A Dual Diploma Opportunity from CIU

Cyprus International University (CIU) offers dual diploma opportunity with the "University of Rome Tor Vergata", one of the leading higher education institutions in Europe and one of the most important international university according to the rankings of the universities in the world (QS World University, Times Higher Education).

A cooperation protocol was signed between CIU and the University of Rome Tor Vergata. The protocol was signed by the Rector of CIU, Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri and the Rector of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Prof. Dr. Giuseppe Novelli. Within the scope of the protocol, students will study the first three years of their education at the CIU Faculty of Pharmacy and the remaining two years of their education at the University of Rome Tor Vergata's campus in Rome. It is stated that the protocol will start onwards Fall Semester of 2018-2019 academic year.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Ender Volkan Çınar, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, CIU said every year teaching staff from Italy will come to teach at the CIU campus within the scope of the program. Çınar said "Our work aims at promoting and developing mutual understanding between the two universities" and he stated that the protocol signed between the two institutions is based on mutual scientific and cultural cooperation. Çınar also stated that common scientific research will be carried out in the area of common interests within the scope of the academic cooperation protocol and double diploma application in the context of education and training will be applied.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Çınar stated that this protocol is a great opportunity for students not only to get high quality Pharmacy education but also to have a chance to gain experience abroad and also to have foreign language development. Çınar stated that students will gain international experience and he added that it will be a very important step in terms of cultural heritage and for their own development and academic progress.
