CIU was represented at the 5th International Hacettepe Graphic Design Workshop
Assoc.Prof.Dr.Elif Songur Dağ, the Head of the Graphic Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Cyprus International University (CIU) participated as the invited guest workshop administrator and panelist at the 5th International Hacettepe Graphic Design Workshop organized by Hacettepe University.
The workshop on "Conceptual Illustration Study on Hybrid Character Designs", which was administered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dağ, was the most interested workshop with the participation of 20 students from five different universities. Within the scope of the study, which was designed as an illustration workshop, students designed hybrid characters following the theoretical guidelines and presentation made. The work produced by the students at the end of the workshop was exhibited on the last day of the workshop. After six different workshops took place, a panel was held.
With Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Songür Dağ, Soukayna Saadani, Remzi Cantaş and Fadile Savaş, who are the students from the Graphic Design Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, participated in the event. CIU students took part in the exhibition with their designs they produced at the "Visual Letter: Images as a Message Tool" workshop directed by Maria Brzozowska.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dağ stated that they returned from the 5th International Hacettepe Graphic Design Workshop that they attended with their students with positive impressions and she stated that having a different education and experience environment with 10 different university students contributed both to the design education and to the developmental effect of the students in terms of expressing themselves.
Dağ emphasized that such a rapid and intensive unusual work process within a limited time frame contributed to the creativity of the students and workshop managers.
