CIU Vocational School of Applied Sciences aims to educate people who will meet the needs of the sector

School of Applied Sciences of Cyprus International University (CIU) awaits students who want to pursue a career in this field with its laboratories and specialist faculty members in their fields.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat, the Assistant Director of the School of Applied Sciences said they provide education at International Trade and Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Aided Accounting, Computer Technologies and Programming and Informatics Technologies Programmes within the School of Higher Education.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Nat provided information about the aims of the school and she said that today's information technologies are used almost in every field of work and she stated that they aim to educate qualified individuals who are preferred by the industry related to the field, equipped with theoretical and practical skills, who are able to use computer and information technologies effectively, who are able to follow new developments in the field of profession and contribute to team work.

Nat stated that students will have access to the necessary course materials from the university library and on-line course management systems and she said that they have organized laboratory studies and field trips to the relevant field courses in order to put into practice their theoretical knowledge.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat also stated that besides the laboratories at the Science and Technology Centre at the CIU, they will be able to use the Finance Laboratory and they will be able to receive practical training through virtual portfolios.

Assist Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat said that students have 30 workday summer internships in a company and they also offer practical training opportunities to students with agreements made with different institutions and organizations.
