CIU Student Welcoming and Orientation Days continue at full speed
2018-2019 Academic Year Spring Semester student registration and orientation days of Cyprus International University (CIU) continue at full speed.
The city tour activities organized during the orientation days started with a trip to Nicosia. The program will continue with Kyrenia and Famagusta city tours. During the trip to Nicosia, students toured inside the historical city walls. There they visited historical sites such as the Büyük Khan and Dervish Pasha Mansion, where they had the opportunity to meet with Nicosia tradesmen. During the tour students got acquainted with Cypriot people and their culture.
Kellie Mhula, a first-year student in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, commented that the culture of Cyprus and its citizens are exceptionally diverse and friendly. Kellie said that they have learned the history of Cyprus during the Nicosia City Tour, and the walls of Nicosia are incredible historical structures.
Kudakwashe Ian Maboreke, a first-year student in the Faculty of Law, said that he just came from Zimbabwe and enjoyed having the opportunity to see Northern Cyprus through the Orientation Days.
During the CIU Orientation Days, newly registered students learned important information about immigration procedures, student affairs, dormitories, campus facilities, the library, Student Development and Counseling Center, International Center, writing applications from SIS, student clubs, Student Association Council, and the CIU Arena and Health Center. The Orientation will also inform students about TRNC traffic rules and laws.
