CIU Organises an Information Seminar on Immigration for Foreign and Newly Registered Students

The Student Development and Counselling Centre (SDCC) of Cyprus International University (CIU) organized an information seminar on immigration for former and newly registered students at the university within the scope of the Orientation Days.

In the seminar, which was held in English and Turkish, information was given about how to perform immigration procedures by an Ercan Airport Immigration Chief and the Director of the Office of Immigration of the Ministry of the Interior.

Students who have been graduated or have been dismissed for any reason are required to leave the TRNC within 90 days of their graduation date or 60 days of the date upon which they are dismissed.
It was also stated that if the immigration process is not done or the students whose study permission has been cancelled by the Directorate of the Immigration Office, have to leave the TRNC within 7 days, as of 31 December 2018.

After the event, which was well attended by the students of the CIU, there was a question and answer session and the event ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to the speakers by Gamze Atay, Director of the SDCC.
