CIU & IFIA Sign Academic Cooperation Agreement
Mr Masoud Tajbaksh, Director of planning and university cooperation from International Federation of Inventors Association (IFIA) visited CIU to focus on the academic cooperation protocol agreement with Cyprus International University (CIU).
Rector of CIU Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri had a meeting with Mr Masoud Tajbaksh about the improvement of the academic cooperation between the two institutions at the Rector’s Office.
Cyprus International University continues to be a pioneer in of innovation and novelty. With current strides towards the development of sustainable energy within the campus, the university does not fall short of emerging ideas for the fast developing global pace. In light of this, the university is excited to partner with IFIA to create platforms for students within the university to take part in various innovative fora.
In line with the scope of the Academic Cooperation Protocol between the two universities; the aim is to establish an Incubation Center supported by IFIA in CIU. This is mainly to encourage students who have innovative ideas and are talented so as to provide them with the opportunities to attend international competitions organized by IFIA.
CIU students will take part in innovative activities, that will be designed to mimic the innovation exhibitions that are held by the IFIA all around the world. CIU shall go further to organise high school children in Cyprus to be a part of these game-changing platforms. This will prospectively take place on campus and will open to the general populous for scrutiny and contributions.
During the visit, CIU Rector Prof. Dr Halil Nadiri presented Mr Masoud Tajbaksh Lefkara a handicraft work unique to Cypriot culture. After the visit to the Rector's Office, Mr Masoud Tajbaksh visited CIU campus and laboratories in place.
