CIU Holds “Student Clubs Festival”
In the new Academic Year, the Student Clubs Festival was organized by the Student Clubs Coordination Unit within the Student Development and Counselling Centre of Cyprus International University in order to promote the students clubs and social activities.
During the event, held at the Student Centre, the club presidents and their representatives gave information about their clubs at the student club stands. During the two-day Club Festival there were more than 40 club stands including health, science, culture, communication, law, and sports. Student admissions were also made. The clubs also provided students with information about the activities and goals they aim to achieve during the academic year.
Naziyet Uzunboylu, the CIU Student Clubs Coordinator, said that the clubs provide a colourful and lively social environment for students and that they aim to get students to participate in cultural, artistic, and sporting activities in order to make use of their extracurricular time in the best way. Uzunboylu stated that student clubs are essential for these purposes and that students both have the opportunity to develop themselves in organization and project management and they also find the opportunity to socialize through clubs.
