A CIU Academic Emphasized the Importance of August 30th

Prof Dr Muhittin Tuş, Lecturer of Faculty of Education, Cyprus International University (CIU) explained about the August 30th Victory Day which has an important place in the history of the Republic of Turkey. Prof. Dr. Tuş drew attention that August is the month of victory and he stated that this tradition, which was started in Malazgirt in 1071 continued until Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Prof. Dr. Muhittin Tuş reminded that the 96th anniversary of the Battle of the Commander-in-Chief is celebrated, which was resulted in with the victory in Mustafa Kemal's commander-in-chief on the August 30th.

Muhittin Tuş said that the Victory of the August 30th is the continuation of a tradition and he said "Mustafa Kemal led the way of the nation to the victory, which was its weaponry was taken away, demilitarized, was tired of fighting in wars for 10 years, even 15 years old are being called to the army, that did not have an economy or finance." Prof. Dr. Tuş said this victory is a continuation of a tradition and it is also a creation of the nation out of nothing. He mentioned that the idea was “they will come as they came during the invasion of Istanbul and he stated that the August 30th is the victory of those who said they will succeed and believed in they will succeed. The victory is Mustafa Kemal's gift to the Turkish nation."

Prof. Dr. Muhittin Tuş, Lecturer of the Faculty of Education, Cyprus International University said "We commemorate with mercy, respect and gratitude, in particular the founder of the Republic of Turkey's glorious Atatürk, his brothers in arms and his fellows, all the heroes of the War of Independence, our martyrs and veterans on the August 30th Victory Day."
