Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Paşaoğluları Aydınlık, the Head of the Department of Chemistry, stated that within the scope of the programme, it is aimed that students conduct independent research, examine and comment on scientific events, determine the steps necessary to reach new syntheses, and make original contributions to the developments in chemistry related disciplines.

Aydınlık stated that the program is a two-year English language graduate program and he said that within the scope of the program, it is aimed that students’ gain research motivation and take this as the basis for the development of their interest at an advanced level.

Aydınlık stated that within the scope of the programme, there are courses such as Advanced General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Organic Photochemistry, Chemistry, Spectroscopic Methods in Chemistry, Organic Electrochemistry, Biochemistry, Spectroscopic and Chromatographic Device Usage Techniques, and she said that it is compulsory to prepare a Master's Thesis.

Aydınlık said new original results will be discovered thusly and transferred to the science world, and she mentioned that the program offers an opportunity in all areas of modern chemistry and interdisciplinary studies in many different fields of research.

Aydınlık pointed out that candidates who did not do their undergraduate education in the field of Chemistry should complete the scientific preparatory courses determined by the Graduate Committee of the Chemistry Department and she also said that in this way they could carry the chemist profession to an advanced level.

Aydınlık said the Chemistry Master’s program has sufficient background in terms of academic staff and physical laboratory facilities and she stated that graduates can find employment opportunities in chemistry, pharmacology, textile, medicine, food industries, health institutions, hospitals, research centers, research and development units of private sector institutions, and medical analysis laboratories.
