Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khaddar, attended a workshop at Lund University as an invited speaker
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moncef Khaddar, from the Department of International Relations at Cyprus International University, attended a workshop on “Innovations in New Authoritarianism” at Lund University in Sweden as an invited speaker.
At the workshop, funded by the Swedish Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences, the analytical and empirical values of alternative terms such as patriarchy, autocracy, totalitarianism, hybrid regimes, absolutism and monocratic were explored.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moncef Khaddar stated that he investigated the context and strategy of the transition of “New and Old Authoritarianism” from one form to another. He said Tunisia can be an example for this.
In his presentation titled “Oligarchical Regime Going Beyond Dualist Democratic/Authoritarian Administration” Khaddar said he explained the main issues that are directly related to “post-colonial authoritarianism.”
