3rd Career Days and Fair Events Started

The “Career Days and Fair" events organized by Cyprus International University (CIU) to contribute to student development and career planning activities were started. Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri, who made a speech at the 3rd Career Days and Fair, stated that CIU aims to create a quality education-instruction environment and gives high importance to international accreditations. Nadiri stated that we will communicate to the scientific institutions as a university and he pointed out that they aim to bring to   life the centre of innovation in the direction of necessity. Halil Nadiri also pointed out that they will pass on a practice that is not available at any other university in Northern Cyprus and he stated that a Personal Development Document will be started to be given for students at CIU.

Candan Avunduk, the chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry (KTSO) stated that along with the scientific studies carried out at higher education institutions, they also have great contributions to the society. Avunduk mentioned that the goals are to share the knowledge of the academics with the society and it is important to carry the students to the level where they can contribute to the various topics in the society.

Emre Olgun, a member of the Board of the Directors, Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) stated the importance of entrepreneurship in terms of the development and enrichment of a country and he pointed out the importance of identifying opportunities, doing threat analysis and risk assessment within the scope of the evaluation conducted. Olgun said that the development is over due to government in the world and he stated that the importance of private sector and entrepreneurship is increasing.

The 3rd Career Days, which was organized to increase the knowledge and contribute to increase the employment opportunities for the students after graduation, continued with the speeches of the specialists in their profession after the opening ceremony.
