"1. Mini Management Information Systems" Conference was held at CIU
The 1st Mini Management Information Systems Conference was held by the Management Information Systems Department of the School of Applied Sciences and the Management Information Systems student club, which is affiliated to the Social Activities Coordinator, the Student Development and Counselling Centre (SDCC) at Cyprus International University (CIU).
Graduate and doctoral students studies were published internationally, were presented at the conference. The conference was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat, The Director of the Management Information Systems Department. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat noted that many studies of the students were published at international refereed journals and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nat also noted that the goal was to encourage other students. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat said "We organized the conference to ensure that our students have knowledge of the effective use of business management and information technology in various business areas." Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nat added that they aim to educate current undergraduate students, who
have a good command of subject, to adapt developing information technologies rapidly and be able to produce solutions.
Philip Slaw Kissi, The Director of the Management Information Systems club said the event was organized for the students in the Department of Management Information Systems and it was aimed to raise students awareness on how to transfer the theoretical knowledge that they have gained to find out answers for the question of how information pollution in today's world can be transformed into accurate and understandable information and how this information can be used. Kissi, The Director of the club said the event was attracted a lot of interest and it was planned to be organized twice a year.
There were twelve speakers at the event, which was done at Çevik Uraz Conference Hall, CIU. At the end of the event, the presenters were presented certificates.
