About the Department
The Business Administration Department educates students to become successful individuals who can contribute to the development of the country; who adapt to the competitive environment; who have an analytical and observer frame of mind; who are equipped with knowledge, skills and professional equipment and who have good communication skills. The Department makes a major contribution to the business world.
Students want to have qualities that will provide me with the ability to shape my future by understanding the general process mechanisms of businesses. Students chose this department in order to be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills in the areas of economy, social and technology and start my working life one-step ahead.
Curriculum was prepared by considering the effect of economic, social and technological development on businesses. In this context, the students are taught micro and macro economy formation and they learn to recognise the behavioural sciences related to individuals and society. Students learn the functions of production, marketing, finance, human resources, accounting, research and development and public relations as they apply to businesses and the strategies followed on these subjects. Courses are in English, though students have the option to attend courses in German, French, Italian and Russian allowing them to receive preference in the environment of global competition. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the Department provides students with the opportunity to assimilate topics better by giving examples from daily events through inviting talks by successful managers and business entrepreneurs or by making company visits. Special attention is paid to the use of the necessary modern information and communication technology.
The course content and the course books are constantly updated and, along with the accreditation provided, our students start their working life as people knowing the concepts and the running of modern businesses and who can think strategically. This knowledge and experience provide students working opportunities in marketing, finance and human resource areas both in domestic and foreign, public and private sectors. It is possible for students to continue their education by gaining Master and Doctorate degrees and to become part of the academic staff.
We are experiencing the advantages of being taught not only academically but also practically in the Business Administration Department so that we can use the information in that sector or elsewhere in our academic life.
